The head of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus made this statement during a meeting with the management and staff of Belagroterminal LLC, which was held as part of a single information day on the topic of "Trends and New Directions for Tourism Development in Belarus."
"We have much to be proud of. We are ready to welcome all tourists who come to experience the history, nature, and tourism potential of our country. We are actively developing industrial tourism and ecotourism, and we are constantly developing new tourist routes for various categories of citizens."
"Friendship between peoples is the foundation of friendship between countries. Our openness and goodwill toward our neighbors will help citizens of other countries be more critical of the fake news spread by the media in neighboring countries."
"But overall, if we're moving on to the social and economic development program for the next five years, tourism is one of the key areas. We understand that the Republic of Belarus must seek new opportunities for economic growth and investment. Tourism is one of them, but the development opportunities are not limited to this."
Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Belagroterminal LLC on the development of a technology for producing a protein-enriched product using solid-phase microbial fermentation of soybean meal.
