A delegation from the NAS of Belarus is participating in the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana
A delegation from the NAS of Belarus, led by Chief Scientific Secretary Vasily Gursky, is participating in the Eurasian Economic Forum, which is being held this year under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in Astana.
On the sidelines of the forum, Vasily Gursky met with Elena Shevchenko, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening bilateral scientific and technical cooperation between the two academies. Particular attention was paid to finding effective mechanisms for implementing joint scientific and research projects.
Vasily Gursky emphasized the importance of developing interacademic dialogue and highlighted key areas of bilateral scientific and technical cooperation in which Belarusian and Kazakh scientists see the greatest potential. Furthermore, the parties agreed to hold joint scientific conferences and workshops aimed at popularizing scientific achievements and engaging young people in scientific activity.
The 5th Eurasian Economic Forum is taking place May 28-29 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The forum is timed to coincide with the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, attended by the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union.
