As part of his visit, he was given a guided tour, which included an entrance to the institution's reading rooms, museum exhibits, and book depository.
The ceremonial presentation of a library card to Vladimir Karanik created a special atmosphere.
Library Director Stanislav Yuretsky spoke about the library's history and shared information about the prominent figures involved in its development.
Particular attention was paid to the library's operations and its extensive funds, which includes scientific and popular science publications across a wide range of knowledge areas.
The exhibits from the rare books and manuscripts fund, which contains unique original documents of exceptional historical and cultural value, generated considerable interest.
Vladimir Karanik emphasized the importance of preserving and systematizing such scientific collections, noting the library's role as a key center providing researchers and scientists with necessary information and knowledge.
During the visit, issues of digitalization of archival materials and the implementation of modern technologies aimed at increasing the institution's efficiency and strengthening the country's intellectual potential were discussed.
