Vladimir Karanik met with the head of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia
Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, held a working meeting with Arif Satria, Director of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia. The main topic of the negotiations was expanding scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries.
The parties identified a number of priority areas for joint work. These include: advanced optical and laser technologies; the development of information and communication systems; the creation of new materials, including nanotechnology; and the exploration of outer space.
Particular attention was paid to the digital transformation of the economy, the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, and biotechnology.
To implement the planned activities, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of holding joint research project competitions and to prepare a roadmap for scientific activities.
Vladimir Karanik's visit to Indonesia will take place from June 29 to July 3 as part of the Belarusian delegation. The busy schedule includes participation in the Belarusian-Indonesian Business Forum, as well as a series of meetings and negotiations aimed at strengthening and developing scientific and technical ties between the two countries.
