Dear colleagues and friends!
On behalf of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on National Unity Day!
This holiday reminds us of the momentous events of 1939, which restored historical justice and united the Belarusian people in a shared aspiration to live and develop on their own land.
Enduring folk wisdom holds that "the unity of the people wards off all troubles." Societal unity and harmony constitute a solid foundation for independence, stability, and constructive progress—the basis for the development of all spheres of public life, including science.
Today, scientists face major tasks: strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty and intellectual potential, advancing import substitution, and integrating new technologies into production. I am convinced that the cohesion of the scientific community, adherence to tradition, and dedication to our native land will enable us to achieve new successes for the good of our beloved Motherland. Unity in science represents a powerful blend of youth and experience, fresh ideas and time-tested practices, and a dynamic new impetus combined with skills honed through years of intensive work.
