During the event the NASB delegation met with the leadership of the ALLEA — President Günter Stock, Vice President Ed Noort and Executive Director Mathias Johansen to discuss in detail the course of the organization ALLEA Council meeting in Minsk on June 20-21, 2016 and its program.
At the ALLEA meeting the NASB delegation with representatives of leadership of several academies of sciences the organizational issues for implementation the joint projects both executed and considered were discussed.
During the individual program of stay the NASB delegation held talks with the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (AAS), a member of the ALLEA Council Brigit Mazol, where a number of mechanisms for development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two academies and actions for the short term were discussed. Special attention was paid to the use of support programs of mutual visits for student internships and collaborates on projects within MOST programs and the AAS program "Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities (JESH)". During the meeting the parties also discussed the prospective directions for the NASB and the AAS cooperation through youth organizations of the academies of sciences and opportunities AAN's participation in the National Science and Technological Park in the field of pharmaceutics, nano- and biotechnologies "BELBIOGRAD".
In addition the NAS of Belarus delegation visited two organizations of the AAN — the Austrian Center of Digital Humanities and the Institute of Technology Assessment, where they got acquainted with their activities and discussed the potential areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the results of the NASB delegation visit to the Austrian Academy of Sciences the Protocol was signed.
