On June 24, 2016 a meeting with a Guangzhou delegation (China) led by the Head of Administration of the People's Government of Guangzhou Zhao Nangsian was held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Also the delegation included representatives from government and research centers for a wide range of areas. From the NASB talks was headed by Aleksandr V. Sukalo, Vice Chairman of the NASB Presidium. The guests got acquainted with scientific and production activities of the NASB organizations on physical-technical profile. The parties agreed to reach by the end of 2016 joint negotiations on specific scientific and industrial projects with discussion of the possibilities of their financing and implementation.

Also during the visit the Cooperation Agreement between the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer and the Office of Foreign Experts Affairs in Guangzhou was signed. The Cooperation Agreement is aimed at deepening cooperation in Guangzhou with the Republic of Belarus in the field of technology transfer and commercialization.
