On April 22, 2017 the management and staff of the NAS of Belarus took part in the Republican Subbotnik at the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus. Representatives of the NASB Presidium, various institutes and scientific and practical centers of the NAS of Belarus headed by the Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov planted trees, cleaned the territory of the Botanical Garden and looked after the seedlings. This year representatives of the Council of the Republic of Belarus headed by Vladimir Semashko and Vasily Zharko, representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus headed by Aleksandr Popkov, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs worked side by side with the Academy’s staff.

During the Subbotnik at the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus 210 trees were planted, the territory of 20 hectares was cleaned, 60 m3 of branches and 30 m3 of leaves were removed. Also an Alley of Academicians was laid that day in the Central Botanical Garden.

325 people took part in the Subbotnik (excluding employees of the Botanical Garden).
