Official launch of Sino-Belarusian Philosophy and Culture Research Center held

On 27 September 2017, an official launch of the Sino-Belarusian Philosophy and Culture Research Center was held in Zhanjiang (Guangdong province, China).

The Center has been set up within the cooperation of the NASB Institute of Philosophy and the Lingnan Normal University (PRC). Both of the institutions are the platform for the Center’s activities. A solemn opening of the Sino-Belarusian Philosophy and Culture Research Center at the NASB Institute of Philosophy is scheduled to take place during the First Belarusian Philosophy Congress in October 2017.

According to Liu Minggui, President of the Lingnan Normal University, the University considers interaction with the NASB Institute of Philosophy as a historic opportunity to intensify contacts with Belarusian universities and scientific institutions, and to develop the Belt & Road Initiative. The Center established is expected to become a key platform of cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Anatoly A. Lazarevich, Director of the NASB Institute of Philosophy, highly appreciated a universal value and historical wisdom of Chinese philosophy and literature in his speech. He is convinced that the Sino-Belarusian Center will contribute to development of philosophical culture of the two countries, and intensification of bilateral relations.

During the talks, the heads of the Lynnan Pedagogical University and the Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Belarus reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of scientific research, and exchange and training of specialists. The Center is also expected to arrange scientific events aiming at popularizing Chinese and Belarusian culture on the background of joint implementation of the Belt & Road Initiative.
