The Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering is currently developing technology for obtaining spirulina biomass and establishing its production from the Spirulina platensis IBCE S-2 strain from its own algological collection.
Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to use Belarusian spirulina as a raw material for obtaining ingredients with high biological activity and their joint use in different branches of the national economy.
The UNERA Luxembourg S.A. company is a developer and owner of technology for obtaining biologically active compounds from microalgae and bacteria cells. It produces ingredients for food additives and cosmetics. The OJSC "UneraGroup" subsidiary produces spirulina in honey and delivers it to the market of the Republic of Belarus. Spirulina for these purposes is purchased in the USA.
