The purpose of the visit was to discuss the directions of scientific cooperation between the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Research Center for Industrial Development Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The Belarusian side was represented by Director of the Institute of Economics Valery Belsky, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation Dmitry Primshits, head of the Department for monitoring social and economic development Tatyana Sadovskaya, head of the Department of innovation policy Denis Mukha, acting head of the Belarusian-Chinese analytical development center Vadim Sugak.
Special attention was given to joint research in the field of neo-industrialization of the national economies of Belarus and Ukraine, social and economic development of territories, economic support of major energy projects, and coordination of efforts to prepare applications for joint international research projects implementation.
Following the talks, Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Valery Belsky and Director of the Research Center for Industrial Development Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Nikolai Kizim signed an agreement on scientific cooperation.
The agreement provides for the development and deepening of scientific contacts between the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Research Centre for Industrial Development Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It determines the prospects for joint research, implementation of international projects, scientific and organizational events, preparation of joint publications, information exchange and training of qualified scientific personnel.
