International Scientific Symposium "Subparticles, Nuclei, Atoms, and the Universe: Processes, Structure" (SNAUPS 2018) to open at NAS of Belarus

On 23 April 2018 (Monday), at 11:00 a.m., the International Scientific Symposium "Subparticles, Nuclei, Atoms, and the Universe: Processes, Structure" (SNAUPS 2018) will open at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The forum is held in memory of Ya.B. Zeldovich, a famous scientist, Academician, who was born in Minsk.

The Symposium is organized by the B.I. Stepanov Institute of Physics of the NAS of Belarus, the International Center for Relativistic Astrophysics Network ICRANet (Italy) and the Belarusian Physical Society. It will be held on April 23-27, 2018.

Yakov B. Zeldovich, Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, is a well-known scientist who made a significant contribution to various branches of physics, physical chemistry, and astrophysics. He is one of the creators of the Soviet atomic and thermonuclear weapons.

Taking into account diverse scientific interests of Ya.B. Zeldovich, the Symposium themes cover not only astrophysics and general theory of relativity and cosmology, but also physical chemistry, quantum field theory and particle physics, and mathematics. The Symposium will be attended by prominent scientists from many scientific centers and universities of our country and abroad. Researchers from Italy, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, South Korea, Croatia, Estonia, Bosnia, Slovenia will come to Minsk.
