The seminar is a regular event of the Sino-Belarusian Philosophy and Culture Research Center, which was created in 2017 in the framework of cooperation between the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Lynnan Pedagogical University. The Center's activities allow to expand partnership with different institutes of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, considered to be a strategic partner in the field of social, humanitarian and philosophical research.
On 25 April 2018, in order to consolidate cooperation in the field of philosophy and culture, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the National Institute of Social Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was signed.
After the agreement was signed, Aleksandr Kovalenya, Academician-Secretary of the NASB Department of Humanitarian Sciences and Arts, met with the Chinese delegation. Vladimir Podkopaev, Head of the Main Department for International Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the NAS of Belarus; Anatoly Lazarevich, Director of the Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Belarus; and Igor Gancherenok, Rector of the Institute of Training of Scientific Personnel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, were also present at the meeting.
The sides exchanged current information on scientific, educational and publishing activities of the organizations and outlined areas for further joint cooperation.
