The international conference is a large-scale scientific forum with a wide geography of participants. More than 200 leading scientists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Lithuania and Latvia will take part in the conference. The scientific forum will highlight the results of research conducted in the field of biophysics, cell engineering, molecular biology and nanobiotechnology. The international conference contributes to the expansion of international cooperation, the establishment of new and development of existing scientific contacts, and the implementation of joint international scientific projects. It will also allow attracting talented young people to research.
Plenary and breakout sessions, as well as poster sessions are scheduled at the forum. As a part of Photosynthesis and Photobiology section, there will be a meeting dedicated to the memory of Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Biology A.A. Shlyk (1928–1984). The following sections will work at the conference: molecular biophysics; membrane biophysics; cell biophysics and cellular technologies; photosynthesis and photobiology; medical biophysics; biophysical education. During the forum, it is planned to hold a round table on a number of topical problems of modern biophysics and biotechnology, and to discuss ways of introduction research results in the national economy of the Republic of Belarus. The Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus together with the Belarusian State University are the organizers of the conference. The event is supported by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Basic Research. The conference is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the 45th anniversary of the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the NAS of Belarus which is a leading Belarusian institution in the field of biophysics and cell biology.
