A joint expedition of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus and the Marine Pegas diving center began its work on lifting an ancient canoe from the Neman River nearby the village of Nikolaevo, Ivye district, Grodno region. The canoe was found there by locals. At the moment, it is lying at the bottom of the river.

On 27–28 October 2018, the underwater archeology group of the NASB Institute of History, divers of the Marine Pegas diving center and members of the 4Х4 jeep forum will lift the canoe after the preparatory work will be over. Then, the canoe will be transported to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for all subsequent conservation measures, futher exploring and exhibiting.
