Under the Presidential Decree №462 of 28 November 2018 a number of employees of organizations and enterprises, including representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, were honored with state awards for long-term fruitful work, high professionalism and exemplary performance of official duties, courage and bravery in difficult situations, a great personal contribution to strengthening of Belarus’ authority on the international arena, development of legislation and parliamentarism, Belarusian journalism, petrochemical industry, transport and tax system, significant achievements in the energy sector, science, culture and art, training of highly qualified specialists.

The Order of Fatherland 3rd Class has been conferred on Director-General the state scientific and production association of powder metallurgy, Director of the Powder Metallurgy Institute Alexander Ilyushchenko.
The Medal of Francysk Skaryna has been bestowed upon head of the center of modern and contemporary history of Belarus of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Nikolai Smekhovich.
The Medal for Labor Merits has been presented to Valentina Yanovskaya, head of the Department of historiography and methods of historical research of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
