On 5 July 2019, a delegation from the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) visited the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. During the visit, Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, and Choi Ju-Hee, Senior Vice President of KAERI, signed a memorandum on scientific and technical cooperation to implement joint projects, share scientific and technical data, exchange specialists etc.
Vladimir Gusakov emphasized that the document must be followed by implementing 1-2 joint projects at first and then to establish a joint laboratory. Korean colleagues supported this proposal. After the signing, a Belarusian-Korean workshop on radiology was held, where experts from the two countries discussed in more detail the topics of possible cooperation.
