Dear colleagues! Dear friends!
The year 2019 is coming to an end. This year was bright in its way for scientific life. High-tech industries were evolved, new laboratories and centers were created, promising projects got started. Today, Belarusian scientists are successfully working in many priority areas of fundamental and applied research. These results lead to the creation of new technologies, industries and entire sectors of the economy.
In the past year, a scientific partnership has been expanded, and ties with our colleagues from Russia, China, the European Union and other regions of the world have been strengthened. Many significant events were held, including major international forums. New names of young scientists who are already at the helm of various scientific fields have been discovered. Their ideas will be the driver of growth of innovative development of the country.
The main asset of the Belarusian land has been and remains people. Creative, intelligent, focused on progress. Being smart, talented and purposeful, you are behind all the achievements!
We have new goals and objectives ahead of us. The country's prosperity, the multiplication of its wealth, the preservation of the memory of the people, which is especially important in anticipation of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, is in our hands.
On behalf of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and my behalf from the bottom of my heart I warmly congratulate you on the upcoming New Year 2020 and the bright holiday of Christmas! I sincerely wish you good health, original ideas and new achievements! I wish everyone to become a little better in the upcoming year: more sensitive and merciful, patient and generous. Take care of your family and friends every day of the next year.
Give each other joy, kindness and love!
May our beloved Belarus grow stronger and prosper!
May your dreams come true!
Happy New Year, dear friends!
Acad. Vladimir Gusakov,
Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
