In 1975, the All-Union Meeting of Writers and Critics The Immortal Feat of the People in the Great Patriotic War and Soviet Literature was held at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Minsk. This meeting became an event that remained in the memory of many Belarusian and Russian writers. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and at that time an employee of the CPSU Central Committee, Vladimir Vasilyevich Gnilomedov, noted this event in his diary.
