Problems of informatization in modern society.
Summary: The problems of structure and functions of informatization such as formation of informational space, globalization of information, vertical and horizontal flows, overcoming information famine are considered in the article. The issues of nationalism and protection of information are also considered. The detailed characteristics of the process of informatization, its influence on every sphere of life are given. The conclusion is drawn, that there are technological, educational, social-economic and cultural conditions for inclusion of Belarusian society into the global process of informatization.

Summary: The presented article is the synthetic study on the origin of the categories referred in contemporary jurisprudence to the theory of the law facts. This study emphasizes latin categories as "factum", "actum", "gestum", "negotium", "conventio", "pacta", "contractus", etc. As the result of studing Russian and Italian literature the author finds out the meaning of the terms from the Roman law sources that belong to the juridic facts.

Summary: This paper traces political position of newspaper "Nasha niva" in connection with the the elections to the II State Duma (parliament) of Russian empire (November 1906 -- February 1907). Analyzing political columns of the edition, the author has drawn a conclusion, that the main focus of the weekly was concentrated on social-economic issues in the life of Belarussian society.

The modern art results from complicated interaction of realistic traditions with modern western tendencies. Young artists have contributed to distribution of these new tendencies.

Characteristics of modern stand sculpture in Belarus. pp. 75--84
Summary: Those phenomena in the Belarussian sculpture, which are consistent with the conception of progressive development of the contemporary Belarussian stand sculpture became the subject of the investigation of this article. There are descriptions of the art phenomena which coincide with common vector in development of the modern Belarussian sculpture. Creative development of some artists, and trends, which they represent, are considered by analysis of Belarussian stand sculpture pieces.
The goal of the article is to give a real picture of the state of the modern Belarussian stand sculpture and show its versatile development as fully as possible.

Summary: The paper raises a relevant problem of steady progress in East Slavonic states correlated with regeneration of best creative social-cultural traditions. The civic and partriotic content, correlation with urgent social problems and contradictions of reality, lofty and romantic zeal, etc are distinguished.

The structure of F. Skaryna's Prague prefaces. pp. 102--107
Summary: The structural components of Francis Skaryna's biblical prefaces published in Prague are described. The components exhibit stable stylistic peculiarities, and have the regular syntax and lexical markers. Various combinations of the components form the composition of the biblical prefaces. Topic and structure of the prefaces are due to the contents of a biblical book, its position in Skaryna's biblical cycle, and to such external factors as format, proportions, and design of printed book.

The original lexicon of Yakub Kolas in the Russian translation of his poem "Simon-musician".
Summary: The article is devoted to the analysis of the Russian translation of the original lexemes in Yakub Kolas's poem "Simon-musician". It is concluded that the basic layer of poetical vocabulary is interpreted adequately in the Russian variant of the poem, yet specificity of the translation does not always allow to retain all semantic hues of the original.

Study of Belarusian areal impact on Polish language regions. pp. 119--124
Summary: The article reviews studies on the least investigated aspect of Belarussian-Polish language relations -- possible (probable) areal influence of Belarussian language territory on the Polish dialect territory. Polish scientists actively investigated the reverse effects, but the above named problem of coexistence of Belarussian and Polish language was mentioned insignificantly. This testifies to relevance of similar studies, and first of all, analysis and generalization of collected data.
