Analysis of causes of regional hemodynamics dysregulation following malleolus trauma. pp. 15--19
Summary: The results of the electrophysiological research of the regional blood flow in lower limbs (rheography, color duplex sonography) were submitted in 31 patients with severe malleolus trauma in early and late periods after surgical treatment and in 30 healthy volunteers as a control.
It was shown that at an acute period after trauma the phase of the vasoconstriction in the period of 1--4 days replaced the phase of vasodilatation due to many factors, which included the actions of humoral and local autoregulatory mechanisms (due to tissue ischemia) and the weakening of the excitatory influences as a result of the injury of the fibres, initiation of the endothelium depending mechanisms. Seven to ten days after osteosynthesis operation there was a trend to increasing in the blood vessel tonus, which was the same at the period of 1--3 months. 8--12 months after the operation, the blood circulation of the shin was repaired, but the blood vessels spasm of the injured foot was retained.

Tissue oxygenation in conditions of aquaporin channel inhibition. pp. 35--37
Summary: The effect of aquaporin inhibition on parameters of oxygen mass transfer in various tissues and tissue membranes of rabbits was investigated. There were demonstrated high steady-state levels of oxygen partial pressure on the brain surface, parietal peritoneum, pericardial sac and corresponding body fluids. There was demonstrated a decrease in the oxygen mass transfer rates through the tissue membrane after exposure to aquaporin inhibitors. The experimental results support the concept of the microaquacirculatory mechanism of tissue oxygenation.

Pathomorphological changes in neurons in thoracic sympathetic ganglia in patients with Raynaud's phenomenon and in experiment. pp. 38--40
Summary: We have studied character and distinctive features of neuronic infringements at Raynaud's disease and experimental cooling and ischemia of forward extremities of the rabbits. The reduction of the sizes of neurones is a prevailing type of alterative infringements at Raynaud's disease. Intensifying the alterative and subsequent destruction of neurones is proved at worsening of the disease. Hemodynamic effect of sympathectomy at Raynaud's disease is minimal at the expressed alterative of neurones in sympathetic ganglions. The quantity of neurones with the diminished sizes was less in the rabbits after experiment, than the patients with Raynaud's disease. We confirm, on the basis of results of experiment, that cooling and ischemia of extremities are not the reason of alterative destruction of neurones in sympathetic ganglions (decrease of the sizes of neurones) at Raynaud's disease.

Immune system parameters in patients with complaints of adverse effects of dental alloys. pp. 41--48
Summary: Most fixed and removable dentures are made from casting alloys. Many orthodontic appliances are also fabricated from metallic biomaterials. It has been documented in vitro and in vivo that metallic restorations release metal ions mainly due to corrosion. Those metallic ions may be distributed systemically and locally and could pay a significant role in the induction of oral or/and systemic immunoinflammatory conditions. The aim of the present study was to study the phenotypic and functional activities of peripheral blood mononuclears from patients with complaints suspected to adverse effects of dental alloys.
We examined 31 patients (29 women and 2 men) aged 35--71 years with symptoms assumed to adverse effects of dental alloys. All patients were studied with base metal salts (Cu2+, Co2+, Cr6+, Mg2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Ti3+, Zn2+) for patch tests. 21 healthy people served as control subjects. Phenotyping of peripheral blood mononuclears was assessed by indirect immunofluorescence staining after incubation with monoclonal antibodies specific for CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD 11b+, CD20+, CD25+, CD45+, CD95+ and HLA-DR+ by flow cytometry.
Number of CD20+-cells slightly reduced (9.29+1.5). The total count of T-lymphocytes reduced insignificantly (60.75+3.36), as well as CD4+-cells (37.03+2.61). Decrease in CD8+-cells has been more expressed at sensitized to nickel (19.43±2.03) and cobalt (12.47±2.16) patients and at the patients with objective symptoms (18.42±2.39). Significant rise in CD4+ (T-helpers) and CD8+ (T-supressors) ratio was found in patients with positive patch tests to nickel (2.35±0.4) and cobalt (4.09±1.04) (P < 0.05). Reliable variations of expression of activation (CD25+, CD45+, CD11b, HLA-DR) and apoptosis (CD95+) markers were revealed in sensitized to metals patients (P < 0.05).
Obtained results reveal more significant changes in T-lymphocytes (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+) subpopulations and expression of activation molecules confirming primary role of T-lymphpcytes in development of such oral immunopathological conditions.

Evaluation of magnesium sulfate and glycine efficiency in patients with brain infarction. pp. 55--58
Summary: The magnesium sulfate and glycinum efficiency has been studied in acute period of brain infarction. There were formed 3 patient groups for this purpose. The patients of the 1st group (21 persons) were given glycinum, the patients of the 2nd one (20) -- magnesium sulfate with medicines of standard therapy. The control group consisted of 18 persons who were given standard therapy only. The dermal microhaemodynamics status was investigated by speckle-optical method.
It has been established the positive influence of glycinum and magnesium sulfate in the complex treatment of cerebral infarction. However more marked effect was revealed in neurological status estimation of patients with magnesium application. It is expedient for primary neuroprotection to use the antagonists of NMDA-receptors, for example, magnesium ions.
It has been shown the informative capacity of presented parameters for estimation of dermal microhaemodynamics status with speckle-optical method in examined patients.

Activity of glutathione-S-transferase and output of glutathione conjugates from erythrocytes in children with aplastic anemia and myelodisplastic syndrome. pp. 59--63
Summary: Comparative research of activity cytoplasmic glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and export glutathione-S-conjugates (DNP-SG) from erythrocytes in children with aplastic anemia (AA) and myelodisplastic syndrome (MDS) and practically healthy children was carried out.
It was shown that in erythrocytes of the children suffering from AA and MDS, the activity of GST was in 1.8--2 times higher than activity of enzymes in erythrocytes practically healthy children. The output of DNP-SG-conjugates occured much more intensively from erythrocytes of the children, suffering from AA and MDS, in comparison with erythrocytes of practically healthy children.
The data received in the present research allow to consider that the increased transport of glutathione-S-conjugates from erythrocytes of the children suffering from AA and MDS is probably a consequence of raised speed of their formation that occurs at participation of GST. Moreover, increase in activity of cytoplasmic glutathione-S-transferase and increase in speed of export of glutathione-S-conjugates from erythrocytes of the children suffering from AA and MDS can be connected to peculiarities of conjugation of GSH and CDNB, and to modification of a physico-chemical state of erythrocytes membranes.

Metabolic syndrome: parameters of microcirculation and peripheral and central hemodynamics in patients with ischemic heart disease and diabetes of type II. pp. 68--75
Summary: It has been revealed that the combination of ischemic heart disease (IHD) and diabetes mellitus (DM) of type II is accompanied by microcirculation bed Theological component parameters change in patients older than 40 that correlates with insulin and hydrocortisone concentration in contrast to such parameters in patients with IHD when similar changes were determined in patients older than 60. The combination of IHD and DM of type II is accompanied by changes in plasma viscosity, diabetic retinopathy of stage III in 100% of patients older than 40 without dependence on IHD course; by development of diabetic retinopathy of stage III symptoms in patients older than 60; by vessels endothelium dysfunction (ED) of brachial artery 3.3 times more often in comparison with IHD patients group; by diastolic dysfunction aggravation of the left and right ventricle. The combination of IHD and DM of type II is characterized by reliable increase in total cholesterol, triglycerides, lipoprotein (a) concentrations, and decrease in high-density lipoproteins level that correlates with ED; by increase in pre-p-lipoprotein concentration and decrease in dehydroepiandrosterone concentration that correlates with ED and hydrocortisone concentration; by increase in A24 (9) and Bw61 (40) antigens occurrence and decrease in antigen Cw4 occurrence in comparison with patient group with ischemic heart disease.

Multivariate statistical estimation of transient ischemic attacks heterogeneity. pp. 76--82
Summary: The data of own researches on heterogeneity of nosology concept of transient ischemic attack (TIA) are given. With the use of the discriminant functional analysis, etiopathogenetic heterogeneity of this nosology structure which is formed by atherosclerotic, cardioembolic, and arterial hypertensive components is proved. Borders between these sets are indistinct. These sets as mathematical multitudes are detached enough, but at the same time, are crossed with each other. Such parity is caused by the proved etiopathogenetic variety of this disease with involving in pathological process of several structural systems of the organism -- it is the basis of the TIA heterogenesis concept. Proceeding from this concept, practical recommendations for prevention of this pathology and its relapses are given.

Study of nickel genotoxicity in mononuclears of peripheral blood by Fast Micromethod®. pp. 87--91
Summary: Nickel is used for a variety of applications including removable partial denture frameworks, components of appliances in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and crowns and fixed bridges. It has been documented in vitro and in vivo, that metallic restorations release metal ions mainly due to corrosion. Those metallic ions may be distributed systemically and locally and could pay a significant role in the induction of oral or/and systemic pathological conditions. Our purpose was to study the nickel sulphate genotoxicity in mononuclears of peripheral blood depending on concentration and time of exposition.
Single strand DNA breaks of the peripheral blood mononuclears from 21 donors were determined by Fast Micromethod to different concentration (50, 100, 250 and 500 mM) of NiSO4 and time (3 and 6h) of exposition. The method is based on the ability of the specific fluorochrome dye PicoGreen to make a very stable complex with ssDNA in highly alkaline conditions. PBMs (3000 cells/25 c) were lysed by special lysing solution (9 M urea, 0.1% SDS, 0.2 M EDTA, pH10) supplemented with PicoGreen. DNA denaturation followed directly after addition of 250 c of NaOH (pH = 12), for 20 min, in the microplate by measuring the fluorescence (excitation 485 mn/emission 520 nm) of the ssDNA-PicoGreen complex by Fluoroscan, Labsystem. Results were expressed as strand scission factors (SSFs), calculated as the log10 of the ratio of the percentage of ssDNA from treated and control samples, respectively, after 20 min of denaturation. For practical reasons strand scission factors were multiplied by -1.
Our results showed that Fast Micromethod used for the measurement of DNA damaging and genotoxicity assesment as well as biomonitoring of the negative effects of genotoxins on cells of the immune system. Ni2+ ions induced DNA damage depends on concentration and time of exposition. Moreover, there is an individual variability of genosensitivity/genoresistance in population to the same concentarations of genotoxins.

Golden rule of scientific thought. pp. 96--103
Summary: Analysis of reference state rule known in literature as the "Leites phenomenon" is presented in this paper. It is shown that the rule, which can be considered the golden rule of scientific thought, is a basic methodological principle of analysis of all natural phenomena and processes in addition to separate manifestations of life as shown by the professor S. M. Leites in the field of pathophysiology of metabolism and nervous and endocrine systems. Necessity of further development and use of this rule, as a required tool harmonizing the scientific thought, in scientific effort is shown.
