On April 17, 2021, the management and employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the republican subbotnik. The leadership of the Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Presidium, institutes, and scientific and practical centers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus headed by the Chairman of the Presidium the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, in the Central Botanical Garden, at their workplaces, and cleaned the adjacent and territory.

This year, during the subbotnik, work was carried out to streamline and bring into proper condition the objects and territories of settlements, historical and cultural values, memorial complexes, places of military and military glory during the Great Patriotic War.

50% of the money earned on April 17, 2021, is planned to be directed to the Ministry of Health to strengthen the material and technical base of medical institutions, including the purchase of equipment for the provision of routine and emergency medical care to the population and partial financing of the procurement of vaccine against COVID-19 to ensure the availability of vaccination for population. The remaining 50% of the money earned on the subbotnik will remain at the disposal of the regional executive committees and the Minsk city executive committee. They are planned to be sent for repair, reconstruction, restoration, restoration of historical and cultural values, material complexes, places of military and military glory during the Great Patriotic War.
