On April 29-30, Kazan hosted a meeting of the Eurasian Interstate Council, which considered the implementation of the interstate program “Integrated system of the EAEU member states for the production and presentation of space and geoinformation products and services based on national sources of the Earth remote sensing data” and the prospects for cooperation states of the union in the field of space services. The NAS of Belarus is a national customer of the Interstate program from the Republic of Belarus.
One of the results of the program of the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of space should be the creation of a joint space system of four new spacecraft. This provides for the unification of the constellation of satellites of the EAEU states, the formation of a single data bank based on the materials of the unified space imaginary, as well as the modernization of ground-based systems for receiving and processing information. The heads of governments reviewed the implementation of the first stages of the program.
It is determined that the program will be implemented from 2021 to 2025 in three stages. The first stage provides for the pooling of resources of existing and perspective constellations of satellites created on the basis of the national space programs of the union states. The second stage will envisage the creation of a unified information portal of the data bank on space imagery materials. It is planned that the final stage of the program will make it possible to create a promising joint space system for remote sensing on the Earth of the union states.
