On Victory Day, we congratulated everyone and provided assistance. For my family, May 9 is a special holiday, with tears in my eyes. My father went through the entire Great Patriotic War, was drafted into the army back in 1939, and returned only in 1946 with wounds and numerous military awards. The war found him in Ukraine, and after that he defended our homeland in the Baltic Fleet. My other relatives also took part in that War. In the village of Batsvinava Chachersk District, where I was born, half of the men, about 50 people, did not return from the war…”.
