On September 27-30, 2021, the XVIII International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "Youth in Science - 2.0'21" was held.
The conference is not only one of the largest youth scientific events in Belarus, but also a prestigious platform for the presentation of projects of talented youth from the CIS countries, as well as from near and far abroad. The forum was attended by about 250 young researchers. These are scientists of the NASB, representatives of universities, colleges, schoolchildren of the country, guests from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Armenia, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, heads of the Councils of Young Scientists of the Academies of Sciences - members of the IAAS (International Association of Academies of Sciences). The grand opening was attended by Valentin Nikolaevich Parmon, Academician, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
As the Chief Scientific Secretary of the NASB, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NASB, Doctor of Chemistry Andrei Ivanets told, “Our young scientists, in conjunction with older colleagues, are working on the creation of drugs against coronavirus, using active techniques of bioinformatics and computer modeling. And there are all the conditions for this: a functioning Republican Computer Center, a good school of geneticists, strong biochemists. All this allows us to achieve a serious effect. Belarusian scientists are also actively working in the field of artificial intelligence. Of course, we are an agrarian country, so there are developments in agro-industrial and industrial technologies related to Industry 4.0, as well as robotic systems and unmanned vehicles.”
As a result of the conference, the best speakers were awarded.
