On December 2, 2021, a seminar of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus (HAC) was held. More than two hundred people took part in it. These are undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, supervisors, scientific secretaries of the Councils for the defense of dissertations, scientific secretaries of organizations, heads of postgraduate studies, representatives of councils of young scientists, etc. The event was moderated by Andrey Ivanovich Ivanets, Chief Scientific Secretary of the NASB, Doctor of Chemistry, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NASB.

Guchok Alexander Evgenievich, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law, spoke to the participants of the seminar. He spoke in detail about the structure of the Higher Attestation Commission, about what stages the dissertation goes through before defense.

What are the typical mistakes of degree aplicants? How to prepare your dissertation for defense? These and other questions were asked during the seminar. Olga V. Dubanevich, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, answered them in detail.
