On December 17, 2021, during the session of the General Meeting of the NASB, elections of foreign members of the NASB took place. As a result of an open vote, 12 foreign members of the NASB were elected. These are renowned world-renowned scientists.
The following were elected foreign members of the NASB:
1. Glazyev Sergey Yurievich - Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor;
2. Donnik Irina Mikhailovna, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor;
3. Zhelev Nikolay, director of the Center for Biotechnology at the University of Aberdey Dundee (Great Britain (Scotland), President of the World Federation of BioDiscovery;
4. Zhurinov Murat Zhurinovich, President of the RPO "National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan", Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science, technology and education;
5. Kandybovich Sergey Lvovich - Chairman of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of Belarusians of Russia, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education;

At the session of the General Meeting of the NASB, an honorary diploma of a foreign member of the NASB was awarded to Munis Dundar, President of the European Biotechnological Association (Turkey), professor of medical genetics.
On December 17, 2021, the NASB hosted a session of the General Meeting of the NASB. About three hundred representatives of academic, university, industrial science, members of the Presidium of the NASB, senior officials, representatives of republican government bodies, leading scientists of the country took part in its work. The agenda of the session includes elections of full members (academicians), corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and foreign members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
