Lalit Chokhani was awarded the badge «Great medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus».

This honorary award was presented in a solemn atmosphere, at the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Mumbai, by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Fedorovich Aleinik to the anniversary of the Belarusian academic science and as a recognition of the merits of the recipient before the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The Grand Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is awarded not only to the scientists and employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the other scientific organizations of the Republic of Belarus, who have made a personal contribution to the development of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, but also to the foreign citizens who have had a significant impact on the expansion of international scientific relations of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus contributed to the strengthening of the international scientific and technical cooperation. Dr. Chokhani is a long-term partner of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. As a result of this partnership, a large number of highly effective new generic drugs produced by the State Enterprise ACADEMPHARM were realized, which made it possible to introduce the latest world developments in the Belarusian healthcare system for the treatment of various diseases.
