The International Summer School for young historians from the CIS countries has started its work in Moscow.
The goal of the project is to show that Soviet culture was able to create world-renowned masterpieces and make discoveries in the field of art. 60 historians and teachers from the scientific and educational centers of the countries of the post-Soviet space arrived in Moscow. The Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is represented by Alexander Baranovsky, Head of the Department of Scientific Information Work, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Dmitry Krent, Head of the Central Scientific Archive of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Aleksei Kapliyev, Senior Researcher of the Department of Contemporary History of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, and Darya Pyzh, Junior Researcher of the Department of Contemporary History of Belarus . The participants will discuss the specifics of the cultural life and politics of the USSR from 1922 to 1991. Considerable attention will be paid to the features and mechanisms of development of national cultures and their interaction.
