The delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus takes part in the International Week of Innovative Ideas (Uzbekistan)

A delegation of scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is in Uzbekistan, where they take part in INNOWEEK.UZ-2022 – the International Week of Innovative Ideas, which started on October 18.

Within the framework of this event, the achievements of science, high technologies, as well as innovative and investment projects implemented in Uzbekistan and other countries are demonstrated to the general public and professional circles. The Belarusian delegation includes Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Alexander Shumilin, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences Sergei Shcherbakov and Rector of the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Marat Zhilinsky. Members of the delegation presented the opportunities and scientific potential of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to the Uzbek partners. As a result of the negotiations, a Roadmap for the development of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a Memorandum of Understanding with the leadership of the Center for Advanced Technologies were signed. During the visit, Belarusian scientists met with the director of the Center for Scientific and Technical Information A. Abduvaliev and the vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This year «InnoWeek.Uz-2022» is held under the motto «Green Innovations for Sustainable Development». It is attended by representatives of over 50 foreign countries, more than 100 companies and 40 foreign organizations. Within the framework of the week, the republican stage of the technological development marathon Technoways and the international robotics competition International Robotics Challenge (IRC) are held.
