On October 27, 2022, at 15:00, the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus holds a round table «The problem of the national idea and the formation of the historical memory of Belarusians in the second half of the 19th century», dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory.

The purpose of the event is to reveal the origins of the historical memory of Belarusians at various stages of national intellectual history. Tasks: discussion of the formation of the main ideological trends in the socio-political thought of Belarus in the 2nd half of the 19th century; analysis of the structure of historical memory, its functioning in the system of everyday consciousness, ideology, in the general system of philosophical knowledge of the world. The Round Table participants plan to discuss the following issues:
- the main ideological trends and philosophical trends in the Belarusian intellectual history of the 2nd half of the 19th century;
- the origins of the historical memory of Belarusians;
- intercultural interaction at various stages of the Belarusian intellectual history and its contribution to the formation of national philosophy and historical memory of Belarusians;
- the preservation of historical memory in the face of the challenges of the first half of the 21st century;
- folk wisdom, ethnophilosophy of Belarus and their modern reading;
- historical memory in the structure of philosophical knowledge and everyday consciousness.
