On November 2, 2022, a round table dedicated to the discussion of the Draft Law on the All-Belarus People's Congress was held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Academy of Sciences, departments of Sciences, heads and representatives of scientific and public organizations, famous scientists, young researchers.

Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov drew the attention of those present to the fact that the draft laws «On the All-Belarus People's Congress» and «On Amendment to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus» are aimed at maximally reflecting the interests and aspirations of the people, which are constantly in the spotlight of the state.

The following speakers expressed support for the proposed draft laws: Chief Academic Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Gursky, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts Academician Alexander Kovalenya, Academician Peter Vityaz, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vadim Lakiza, Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Nikolay Myslivets, Director of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Academician Alexander Lokotko, Director of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies Ivan Saverchenko, Director of the Institute of Philosophy Anatoly Lazarevich, Chairman of the primary organization of the public association "Belarusian Union of Women" Yulia Kochurko, Chairman of the United Branch Trade Union Organization of Workers of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Ivan Baranovsky.

The participants of the round table on behalf of all the staff of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus unanimously supported the draft laws «On the All-Belarus People's Congress» and «On Amendment to the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus».
