Young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus become winners of the Forum of Young Scientists of the CIS «Science without Borders»

Young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus became winners of the Forum of Young Scientists of the CIS member states «Science without Borders» (Nizhny Novgorod).

The forum is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the CIS Executive Committee, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, the Skolkovo Foundation.

The diploma of the first degree was awarded:
- Anna Karpenko – Researcher at the «United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» – for the report «Computer modeling of potential medicines Republic of Belarus»;
- Dmitry Shparlo – Head of the Design and Technology Department of Open joint-stock company «Instrument-making plant «Optron» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus – for the report «Obtaining soft magnetic premixes for electric motor elements Republic of Belarus»;
- Anna Bareiko – Researcher at the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus – for the report «Phytopathogenic microorganisms: diagnosis, control, new challenges Republic of Belarus».

Victoria Golovenchik, Researcher at the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences on Belarus for Bioresources, was awarded the diploma of the 2nd degree for the report «Transport as one of the ways of penetration of a representative of the alien Gobiidae family into the watercourses of Belarus Republic of Belarus».

Marina Lebedevich, Researcher at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, obtained the diploma of the 3rd degree for the report «Additional education as a mechanism of social support for people of retirement age Republic of Belarus».

Maria Baranova from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics was awarded the diploma of the 1st degree for the report «Low-dimensional magnetic systems in transition metal chalcogenides Republic of Belarus».

The Forum of Young Scientists of the CIS member states «Science without Borders» takes place on November 1-4, 2022 on the basis of the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod (Nizhny Novgorod). The Forum is part of a large program of events dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2024. On November 3, 2022, the scientific program of the Forum ended at Lobachevsky University. The event was attended by 384 scientists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, as well as from countries of the far abroad: Montenegro, Iran, India, China. In total, 250 reports were presented in nine sectional areas: «Artificial intelligence», «Technologies of the future», «New materials», «Comfortable environment», «Healthy generation», «Food security», «Preserving heritage», «Creative personality», «Molecular engineering». According to the results of the sections work, the organizing committee of the forum determined the winners and prize-winners in each direction. 30 young scientists received cash prizes specially established by Lobachevsky University. The authors of the best oral reports received 30,000 rubles each, diploma holders of the 2nd degree – 20,000 rubles, diploma holders of the 3rd degree – 15,000 rubles.
