On October 25, 2022, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted the grand opening of the XIX International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists «Youth in Science – 2022».

As the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov noted, speaking at the opening of the conference, the National Academy of Sciences is now actively meeting the wishes of the youth. To identify and support talented young researchers, a number of awards and competitions are organized annually, including three special nominal awards for young people. The annual competition «100 young talents of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» is also held, and the all-academic competition «Top-10» is becoming a tradition. One of the new forms of work with youth is the organization of the so-called young academies, which have recently been created in a large number of scientific areas.

On October 25–28, XIX, the International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists «Youth in Science – 2022» is being held at the National Academy of Sciences. It is attended by young scientists, graduate students, applicants, undergraduates, students and students of Belarus, working in such areas of science as: biological, medical, physical and technical, physical and mathematical, agricultural, chemical and earth sciences, humanities and arts, as well as young researchers from Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

As part of the Conference, on October 25, a meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) was held. On October 26 and October 27, sections in various areas of science will be held on the basis of the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Minsk, Surganova st. 15).

The purpose of the event is to stimulate the scientific, technical, innovative potential and presentation of projects and scientific developments of young scientists, as well as the exchange of experience and opinions on a wide range of scientific issues. The organizer of the conference is the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
