On November 21, 2022, at a meeting, a large group of scientists were awarded special badges «Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus»*. Among those awarded special badges were heads of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, leading scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of Belarusian science and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The V.M. Ignatovsky Badge of Distinction of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was awarded to Alexey Shkadarevich, Director of the Scientific and Production Unitary Enterprise «Scientific and Technical center «LEMT», Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Badge «The Great Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» was awarded to Alexander Malarevich, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Belarusian National Technical University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

A special badge «Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» was made in connection with the announcement of a historic date for the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus – October 13 – the date of foundation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. On this day in 1928, the Institute of Belarusian Culture, the first comprehensive state research institution in the history of Belarus, was reorganized into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences (since 1997 – the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus).
