Academy of Sciences holds a seminar on improving the effectiveness of training highly qualified scientists

On November 23, 2022, on behalf of the Government, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus organized and held, with the participation of interested parties, an interdepartmental seminar on improving the effectiveness of training highly trained scientists (HTS).

The purpose of the seminar was: exchange of experience in achieving the best results in the preparation of the HTS, identification of problematic issues, familiarization with changes in legislation in the field of training of scientific staff. Representatives of the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Higher Attestation Commission responsible for the preparation of the HTS, professional specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Economy etc. who lead the preparation of the HTS were invited to participate.

The vector of the seminar was set by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Gursky and the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Andrey Kosovsky.

Presentations were made by: Natalia Pavlova, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of BelISA, Pyotr Pekutko, Head of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education, Margarita Dosina, Head of the Department of Science of the Ministry of Health, Olga Dubanevich, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus.

The seminar was of a practical nature, during the discussion a number of issues requiring legal regulation were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of planning and forecasting the volume of preparation of the HTS for the next decade.
