On December 5, 2022, a press conference on the topic «Preservation and improvement of land fertility in the Republic of Belarus and its effective use» was held in the Press Center of the Press House.

Speakers from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were: Anzhenkov Alexander Sergeevich, Director of Institute of Land Reclamation, and Lapa Vitaly Vitalievich, Chief Researcher of Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

As it was noted at the event, soil resources are the basis of agricultural production in any country. Therefore, their effective use and preservation of fertility are among the most important state tasks facing the agricultural sector. Scientists told about what modern developments will be proposed in the coming year by the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, as well as about what innovative projects have already been approved and implemented in the mechanism of protecting the earth from water and wind erosion, flooding, waterlogging, salinization, desiccation, waste pollution, contamination by chemical and radioactive substances and other harmful effects.
