On December 15, 2022, the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, together with the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Historical Memory Foundation, is holding an international scientific conference «The Soviet Experience: a Look from the 21st century (to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)».
Leading scientists, political and public figures of Belarus and Russia will participate in the conference in a mixed format, combining face-to-face and remote (online) reports. The conference program includes more than 60 reports on all areas of historical science development in Soviet times.

• Evolution of relations between the subjects of the Union and the Union center

The important tasks of this representative international forum are:
• familiarization with scientific developments and practical achievements of humanities scientists on the problems of the history of the USSR and the Union Republics;
• improving the interaction of academic and university science on topical issues of the development of national socio-humanitarianism;
• strengthening the connection of science with educational institutions;
• organization and management of creative initiatives of students on topical history study issues.
