Ahead of Kaliada, December 22, at 10 a.m. in the Yakub Kolas Central National Library, the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus holds a festive scientific and practical seminar Christmas Miracles: Legends and Fairy Tales.
The guests of the event will have a unique opportunity not only to learn about the traditions of Kaliada, Christmas from scientific reports of leading Belarusian specialists, but also to see a real batleyka, listen to an outstanding authentic performer A. Galkovsky, to take part in a master class on making a Christmas straw spider. As part of the event, the Music Chapel of the Center offers an interactive lecture-concert An Angel has Arrived at Christmas. Listeners will have the opportunity not only to get interesting information, listen to music, but also to join in the performance of carols themselves. The solemn and festive atmosphere will be supported by the exhibition The Light of The Bethlehem Star from the funds of the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture.
