New laboratory for the development and production of electronic components for microelectronics to be opened at the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials

On December 23, the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will host the grand opening of the Branch Laboratory for the Development of Critical Technologies for the Production of Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) and Ultra-high Frequency (UHF) Electronic Components. This is a new ultra-modern production aimed at the development of microelectronics and import substitution. It is unique for our country.

The purpose of creating a new modern laboratory is to meet the needs of enterprises of the civil and defense sectors of the economy in ultra-high frequency (UHF) products of electronic equipment and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), devices, development and production of a new import-substituting nomenclature of critical electronic components, export development, increasing the competitiveness of electronic equipment of the Republic of Belarus. The opening of the laboratory became possible thanks to the investment project implementation of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

To achieve this goal, it was necessary to expand the existing line of specialized equipment and production sites with the creation of clean production facilities of a class not lower than ISO4 according to National State Standard (GOST) ISO 14644-1 and equipping them with high-tech equipment for conducting a closed complex of photolithographic process operations on semiconductor wafers, including the application of photoresists, drying, exposure, control of results, chemical processing.
The commissioning of the laboratory is timed to the 40th anniversary of the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials.
