On December 13, 2022, within the framework of the 15th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS member states (Tashkent), the ceremony of awarding the annual interstate prize Stars of the Commonwealth was held.

The interstate prize Stars of the Commonwealth was established by the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States in 2008. The prize is awarded annually for major contributions and achievements in the field of science and education, in the field of culture and art, in humanitarian activities. The awards were presented by Mikhail Shvydkoi, special representative of the president of the Russian Federation for international cultural cooperation, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, minister of culture of Uzbekistan, and Polad Bulbuloghlu, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, chairman of the IFHC board. One of the winners of the Stars of the Commonwealth Prize for 2021 was the head of the Center of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of the Institute of Physics named after B.I. Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician Sergey Yakovlevich Kilin.
