On February 9, 2023, the third joint seminar was held between the organizations of the NAS of Belarus and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research of India (CSIR), dedicated to chemical sciences. More than 30 scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and CSIR took part in the event. The parties made presentations on promising areas for the development of Belarusian-Indian cooperation, namely membrane and ion-exchange materials for water purification, the development of new molecules with targeted biological activity, biopolymer nanocomposites, functional materials, complex chemical processing of peat, etc.

Based on the results of further study at the level of performers, the parties will prepare joint project proposals in the field of chemical sciences for subsequent implementation.

The next (fourth) joint seminar between the organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and CSIR, dedicated to interaction in the field of technical sciences, which will complete a series of thematic seminars to identify promising areas for the development of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and CSIR, is scheduled for February 16, 2023.
