On March 22, 2023, a lecture was held for young employees of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on the topic: 80 Years of the Tragedy in Khatyn. Investigation Results of the Genocide of the Belarusian People During the Great Patriotic War.

Leading scientists of the Academy of Sciences addressed the participants. Stanislav Yuretsky, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, and Pavel Trubchik, Deputy Director of the Institute of History, made introductory remarks. Academic Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts Alexander Kovalenya addressed the youth. Valery Nadtachaev, a researcher at the Center for Military History of Belarus at the Institute of History, voiced documentary evidence of the tragedy in Khatyn. As it was noted, Khatyn is one of thousands of facts testifying to the purposeful policy of genocide against the population of Belarus, which was carried out by the Nazis throughout the entire period of occupation during the Great Patriotic War. The memory of the dead and gratitude to them should never fade from us, their descendants, living under a peaceful sky.
