On October 13, 2023, an official meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the NAS of Belarus was held.

First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov read out the congratulations of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko.

The Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, Academician Vladimir Gusakov, made a report The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is the Pride of the Belarusian Land.

Dozens of congratulatory addresses were delivered at the official meeting: from the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Council of Ministers, the Union State, the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Health, The State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, etc.

Welcoming addresses in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were received from a number of government bodies, academies of sciences, scientific communities and centers of the CIS countries and the countries world. Congratulations were sent to the NAS of Belarus: by the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Academician Gennady Y. Krasnikov, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hou Jianguo, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Zhurinov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Farkhod Rahimi, President of the Cuban Academy of Sciences Luis Velasquez-Perez, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, etc.

The best scientists and specialists of the organizations of the Academy of Sciences were awarded by ministries and departments. High awards from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were presented. For a significant contribution to the development of fundamental scientific research in the field of optics, the development and introduction into practice of new optical methods of diagnostics and non-destructive testing, Nikolai Kazak, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Academician, was awarded the badge Silver Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Achievements in Science. Nikolay Kazak was also awarded the honorary title of Full Holder of Medals of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Ignatovsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Republic of Belarus, was awarded to: Maxim Bogdanovich, Director General of the State Research and Production Association Optics, Optoelectronics and Laser Technology. The Grand Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was awarded to Pyotr Vityaz, Head of the Department of Space Activities of the Apparatus of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician and Vitaly Zalessky, Director of the Physico-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Sergey Kruglikov, Director General of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The official meeting ended with a concert prepared by the creative teams of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In the hall of the second floor of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, one could get acquainted with the expositions of the humanities: an archaeological exposition, an exhibition of modern book publications, an exhibition of literature devoted to the history of the Academy of Sciences.
