On September 4, 2024, the National Press Centre of the Republic of Belarus hosted the presentation of the fourth book National Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War: Let's Remember Everyone, dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Fascism. The press event was attended by: Lakiza Vadzim Lieanidavich, Director of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus; Litvin Aliaksiej Mikhajlavich, Head of the Centre for Military History of Belarus at the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus and Kijenka Dzmitryj Gienadźjevich, Researcher at the Centre for Military History of Belarus at the Institute of History.
Vadzim Lakiza, Director of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus, spoke about the importance of preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and the work of the Institute to create the National Chronicle. "We all understand that the number of veterans decreases, which means that it is necessary to introduce everything that has been preserved by relatives and friends into scientific circulation as quickly as possible," Lakiza stressed. The Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus is working on the fifth book of the National Chronicle, which will include unique archival documents collected by the Centre for Military History. In parallel, work is underway on the sixth book, which will feature the memories of relatives and friends, essays by young people, as well as the fate of fellow countrymen participating in the war.
