On behalf of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on our corporate holiday – the National Academy of Sciences Day.

For the third year, we celebrate our ‘birthday’ in an official atmosphere with the invitation of leading scientists, with a demonstration of the latest achievements in the field of artificial intelligence at the Forum of the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus IT Academgrad and a large-scale exhibition. And this is not just a professional holiday for scientists. This is a holiday for each of us, because science today is the most powerful engine of social development and progress. This is our life.

Over the past years, the history of the Academy of Sciences has been inseparable from the most important stages of the development of Belarus, inextricably linked with the best achievements of world and domestic science, with major scientific schools and the names of outstanding scientists. At the NAS of Belarus, areas, subjects, and scientific schools have been and remain at the forefront, developing not only within the framework of current trends, but often ahead of them, meeting the most pressing challenges of our time. Knowledge, hard work and outstanding thinking of our scientists and specialists have formed a powerful foundation, which is systematically developing, replenished by young researchers and developers. In the Academy of Sciences, the succession of generations is of particular importance. And this was vividly demonstrated by the 100 Innovations of Young Scientists exhibition-competition, the official awarding of the winners and participants of which took place recently within the walls of the Academy.

All this allows the NAS of Belarus to successfully solve a variety of tasks in the field of fundamental and applied science, ensuring its own contribution to the sovereignty and technological security of the country.

The modern National Academy of Sciences functions as a single powerful living organism. Scientists in our country can solve any problem from IT, artificial intelligence and robotics with applications in medicine, agriculture, environmental management and ecology, to spacecraft, electric transport and instrumentation.
