On October 9, the NAS of Belarus hosted talks between Chairman of the Presidium Uladzimir Gusakow and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık, as well as representatives of the Turkish Maarif Foundation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the NAS of Belarus and scientific organizations of Turkey, as well as ways to develop bilateral cooperation. An agreement has been reached on the development of a roadmap for cooperation. The parties also presented the results of the activities of the joint Belarusian-Turkish research centre established on the basis of the Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Belarus in accordance with the agreement between the NAS of Belarus and the Turkish Maarif Foundation. The directions of the centre's further work both in the field of humanitarian research and educational activities are noted.
