On October 10-11, 2024, the NAS of Belarus hosted the 3rd Forum of the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus IT Academgrad, dedicated to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Day.

As Uladzimir Gusakow, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, noted at the opening ceremony, artificial intelligence is becoming a human assistant in all spheres of activity. "The purpose of the exhibition and forum is to annually confirm the development and promotion of Belarus in the field of artificial intelligence. All the developments presented at the exhibition represent the potential of our country in the field of AI. I would like the forum and the exhibition to be held further, and their scale expanded. Artificial intelligence is the most rapidly developing field in the world, along with IT and biotechnologies. Now it is impossible to imagine any sphere of human activity without artificial intelligence, including the scientific sphere. AI becomes an assistant in all areas, strengthens the capabilities of people in the search for the latest developments, new forms of organization of enterprises and industries. We must keep up with global trends. Belarus should be among the leaders in the field of artificial intelligence in the region and beyond," Uladzimir Gusakow said.

Within the framework of the Forum, the winners of the Leaders of Artificial Intelligence in Belarus 2024 open competition were awarded in three categories: ‘The leading company of artificial intelligence in Belarus’; ‘The leading project of artificial intelligence in Belarus’; ‘The leading product of artificial intelligence in Belarus’.

An exhibition of significant domestic developments in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics was organized on October 10 and 11 as part of the 3rd Forum of the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus IT Academgrad. More than 100 projects of 65 organizations of the country were presented at it. The results of their scientific research have been demonstrated by the country's organizations of various fields of activity and forms of ownership. The main highlight of the exhibition was the participation of Belarusian schoolchildren with their developments in the field of robotics.

Within the framework of the business program, which was held on the basis of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus, there were: a plenary session, round tables on various thematic sections, including theoretical and practical developments in the field of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Belarus and abroad. Topics were discussed such as: training of qualified personnel in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, prospects for the development of artificial intelligence in Belarus, etc.

The purpose of the Forum of the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus IT Academgrad is to demonstrate achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics; to develop and coordinate cooperation between scientists and specialists engaged in research in the field of artificial intelligence methods in the interests of finding effective solutions and practical recommendations for their application in various spheres of life.

The organizers of the 3rd Forum of the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus IT Academgrad have traditionally been the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus.
