The Innovation and Technological Cluster of Industrial Technologies Akademtechnograd has been created in the NAS of Belarus. This decision was made on October 23, 2024 at a meeting of the Bureau of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus. The Cluster Regulation has been approved.

The goal of Akademtechnograd is to create a unified scientific and technological space in the field of materials science, high-tech technologies and equipment for processing and creating materials, expand cooperation between organizations of the NAS of Belarus and industrial enterprises of the country, and solve complex technological and production tasks.

The cluster includes organizations of the NAS of Belarus: Physico-Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Applied Physics of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Technical Acoustics of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer named after A.V. Lykov of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Metal Technology of the NAS of Belarus, Institute of Energetics of the NAS of Belarus, Ferrit Experimental and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise, Instrument-making plant Optron. The main organization of the cluster is the Physico-Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus.

Among the tasks to be solved by the innovative and technological cluster of industrial technologies Akademtechnograd: scientific expert assessment and support of innovative, scientific and technical projects of various levels, provision of consulting services; development of modern high-tech technologies, innovative equipment in the field of materials science and materials processing in the interests of domestic enterprises of various forms of ownership; prompt and effective solution of complex scientific, technical and technological tasks, etc.

The creation of the cluster will contribute to expanding the capabilities of existing competence centres and the creation of additional ones in the organizations of the NAS of Belarus, the development and putting into production of innovative industrial technologies, materials and equipment based on the latest scientific achievements and world experience, contributing to the production and expansion of exports of competitive samples of domestic products.

Coordination of activities on the implementation of the Resolution of the Bureau of the Presidium is entrusted to the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
