14th season of the 100 Ideas for Belarus republican youth project launched at the Academy of Sciences

On October 4, 2024, the 14th season of the 100 Ideas for Belarus republican youth project was launched at the NAS of Belarus. During the event, the organizers announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the competition. The official ceremony was attended by: Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Uladzimir Gusakow, First Secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Central Committee, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Aliaksandr Lukjanaw, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Siargiej Shlychkow, Deputy Minister of Education Kaciaryna Piatrutskaja, young scientists, representatives of the largest institutions of higher education in the country, research institutes and centres, as well as the organizers of the project.

As Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Uladzimir Gusakow stressed, the Academy of Sciences relies on young people. "We rely on young people, this is our strategy. Youth is our future. And the emphasis on it is traditionally done in many areas. For example, it is primarily young people who participate in the Science Festival. Within the framework of the festival, 100 Innovations of Young Scientists exhibition-competition was held, and more than 140 developments were presented there. This is also the basis for the 100 Ideas for Belarus contest," Uladzimir Gusakow said. He stressed that the National Academy of Sciences is doing everything possible for young people, many awards and grants have been established. Recently, the NAS hosted Youth in Science 2024, which is a large-scale international conference, and The Way to Science international forum of scientific youth.

The participants of the event could get acquainted with the permanent exhibition Achievements of National Science for Production, as well as visit the Museum of History of the NAS of Belarus.

The new season of the 100 Ideas for Belarus project will be implemented in four rounds: the first is informational (until November 20), the second is qualifying (until December 20), the third involves the organization of regional and Minsk city exhibitions and presentations, as well as the NAS of Belarus and the Ministry of Education (until January 31, 2025), the fourth is the republican final (until April 30, 2025). Applications for potential participants are open on the 100ideas.by website until November 20.
